Kamille Ann Manginsay
Kamille Ann C. Manginsay, or as her friends call her Kam, is a 26-year old self-taught photographer and filmmaker based in Manila, Philippines.
With a degree of Entrepreneurship from De La Salle University, Kam always believed that aside from creating and innovating new products and services, creatively using visual storytelling is an important role in the marketing process. She held on to this idea even as she worked in the Events Industry for a few more years, and then eventually deciding to go on her own to pursue her craft and make it a real business, offering her services to both start-ups and established brands.
After a couple of workshops and online courses, her first big break was when she was chosen as one of 32, out of thousands who signed up, for a workshop in collaboration with Globe Telecom and Grid Magazine. From then on, she never stopped sharing her work, eventually landing in collaborative projects with other creatives to produce videos for celebrities and brands. She has shot music videos, lifestyle videos, documentaries, event highlights, even pre-wedding and actual wedding videos.
Kam now does freelance work with entrepreneurs, brands, online communities, and groups, to shoot photos and videos for digital content. She also has done a series of workshops with young students who want to pursue photography. She's constantly learning and seeking ways to hone the craft, guided by her core purpose in capturing meaningful photos and videos, and sharing remarkable visual stories.
She was about to launch her own studio, Peak Moment (peakmomentph.com) when the pandemic crisis hit. Even while stuck during lockdown, Kam is reaching out to small businesses that were affected to help them stand out with their marketing by taking their product photos and videos. This is how she believes she's practicing her craft and helping out the community at the same time.
