Patrick Uy is a Manila-based photographer with 30 years of experience in fashion, wedding, food, travel, and commercial photography. He is a past president of two of the country's most distinguished photography organizations - Camera Club of the Philippines, and Advertising Photographers of the Philippines.
His passion for photography began in college when he was asked to contribute to The Guidon - the official student publication of Ateneo de Manila University. Later, he would also become a regular contributing photographer to AEGIS - the official yearbook of the same university.
In the span of 30 years, Patrick has made a name in the fashion, wedding, travel, and commercial industry. His famous works include the iconic Richard Gomez Billboard Ad for BENCH which became the first and most iconic fashion billboards launched during that time.
Patrick is also well-known in the wedding, and among Manila's finest social circuit. He was commissioned to be the wedding photographer for celebrities and personalities like Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez, Amanda Page, Andrew E, Ruffa Gutierrez, Beth Tamayo, Ton-Ton Gutierrez, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, Jackie Ejercito and Beaver Lopez, President Gloria Arroyo, Mikey Arroyo and Angela Montenegro, Datu Arroyo and Kakai Manotok, Alfred Ty and Cherry Tan, Jimmy Tang Jr. and Hope Gokongwei, Edwin Tang and Arlene Villareal, among many others. Patrick was also chosen to be one of the few photographers to represent the country for the coverage of the 3-Day Coronation event of King Jigme Khesar Wangchuck for the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Today, he sits at the helm of Pacific Light Studio, and if time permits, he spearheads travel and "photo safaris" to countries like Bhutan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Japan, and Luang Prabang.
